Dust in the Wind

“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”

— Ernest Hemingway

In last week’s Post a group was identified as the Unlikely-hoods. Through this planets brief history. celestially speaking, a small group of things have had the privilege of being called humans (1 in 400 quadrillion);  A popular 1970’s song by Kansas describes it as “Dust in the Wind”.

Out of every Plant, Fish, Mammal, Reptile, Gas, Liquid, Solid, Mineral, Stone etc, that have ever been. Only we share in the distinction of  Humanhood.

“You were made from soil, and you will become soil again.”

– Genesis 3:19 b Good News Translation (GNT)

With all of the minerals that are essential to human existence; iron, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorus, iodine, copper, zinc, chloride, selenium and chromium etc; none of them by themselves amount to anything close to human. However, a fascinating comparison was  made by Christ at his triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

“He replied, I tell you that if these keep silent, the very stones will cry out”. Luke 19:40  Amplified Bible (AMP)

– Genesis 3:19 b Good News Translation (GNT)

The Mineral clad stones are standing testimonials against each and every human that does not take full advantage  all of  the God given abilities as opportunities for ServiceBuilding Bridges and fulfilling Purpose.

(A thought to ponder) On Grave Stones, you will find the Epitaph. Therefore, the question arises of what did you do between the dates etched into  the stone?

Unfortunately the greatest divisions in human history have used the common denominator of Dehumanization. Dehumanization involves removal of responsibility for actions or attitudes exhibited toward others. The concept of making others less that human or removing their dignity, autonomy along with removing all sensitivity for their feelings and worth.

This tribalism has resulted in the various atrocities in human history such as the the African Slave Trade, the Genocide of native Americans, and the Holocaust etc.

This same kind of activity is still in existence today in many clandestine ways such as intimidation, win at all cost Political ideologies, to more visible forms including bullying, political and religious extremism, human trafficking, racial profiling, name calling and bigotry,

“God created things which had free will. That means creatures which can go wrong or right. Some people think they can imagine a creature which was free but had no possibility of going wrong,

Because free will, though it makes evil possible, is also the only thing that makes possible any love or goodness or joy worth having.

The happiness which God designs for His higher creatures is the happiness of being freely, voluntarily united to Him and to each other in an ecstasy of love and delight”

― C.S. Lewis, The Case for Christianity

Humans have the right to disagree and exercise their divinely created freewill to have an opinion and any group that attempts to quiet the voices of another group dehumanize through the bigotry of intimidation.

pinky-promiseThe tedious  journey of  Synergy development is strengthened by the resolve of its participants for Goal establishment as the focus.

Unity as an end result is a spiritual concept (Ps133) that does is not fully discernible in a multicultural secular world. But it can be a byproduct of groups working toward tangible goals. The miraculous byproduct of spiritual enlightenment can develop through relationship.

“Yet, I will enter anyone’s world and try to experience things from their point of view. Through the heart of a servant I will lead those I meet into a life of reconciliation with God and Humankind.” The Accord1 Promise Based on 1 Corinthians 9:19-27 (The Message-MSG)
