Oh what a tangled web we weave, When first we practice to deceive” Sir Walter Scott, 1808

In this season of late October the phrase “Trick or Treat” abounds from costume clad children and adults nationwide. Illusions are the characteristic of this season of celebration of pranks, tricks and darkness of the Craft. According to Websters Dictionary definition of the noun form of the word, Fascination:

The act of fascinating, bewitching, or enchanting; enchantment; witchcraft; the exercise of a powerful or irresistible influence on the affections or passions; unseen, inexplicable influence. In the same way that a fish is lured by the bright shinny object, at times we too fall victim to Fascination.

Perception Management is geared to satisfy our taste for the sights, sounds, taste, smells and imaginations that place us into the clutches of seemingly inexplicable influence. This is done through the act of deception.

Simply put, darkness and the Trick i.e. the Art of Noise always wants to divide people into factions separated by imaginary walls through hatred.

The Message Translation of scripture explains it this way: ” the vicious habit of depersonalizing everyone into a rival; uncontrolled and uncontrollable addictions; ugly parodies of community. I could go on. This isn’t the first time I have warned you, you know. If you use your freedom this way, you will not inherit God’s kingdom.”  Galatians 5:21

The love of God is the truth and Ideologies; though they may be sprinkled with good ideas become Idols, when they replace love with division, prejudice and even racism. Building synergy is not based on one single focus, but it is comprehensive. Synergy is build upon platforms of education/community awareness, relationship building, community conflict resolution and intervention by ordinary people who establish mutual trust, all of which display the essence of “Building the Bridge Together” .
